Matthew 25:31-40 NKJV

“31 When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.  32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats.  33 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.  34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’”

“37 Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?  38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?  39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’”

“40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to me.’”

1 John 4:7, 8, 16

“7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.  8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.  16 And we have known and believed the love that God has for us.  God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. “

Mission Statement:

Warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all.  See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourself and for all.  Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for us.  Do not quench the Spirit.  Do not despise prophecies.  Test all things; hold fast what is good.  Abstain from every form of evil.

The God of peace Himself will sanctify us completely; and our whole spirit, soul, and body will be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.  He who calls us is faithful, who also will do it.  1 Thessalonians 5:14-24 – Paraphrase.

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.”  Revelation 12:11.  Hearsay testimony is inadmissible in the courts of the land and the courts of Heaven.  Our testimony must be what Christ has done in our life and what we do in His service.

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end.  Amen.”  Ephesians 3:20, 21.

“14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.  16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”  John 3:14-17.

CHRIST – Jesus is the divine Son of God.  God made in the form of man.  He is the Eternal Self-Existent One and is NOT a created being.  He is fully God.  Jesus is the one who created the world in six days and rested the seventh day.  “1 In the beginning was the Word, and Word was with God, and the Word was God.  2 He was in the beginning with God.  3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.”  John 1:1-3.  .  “13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. 15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.  16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers.  All things were created through Him and for Him.  17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.”  Colossians 1:13-17.  “1 God, who at various times and in different ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, 2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; 3 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.”  Hebrews 1:1-3.

CROSS – God the Father, in His Son, paid the penalty for man’s sin on the Cross of Calvary.  “18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.”  2 Corinthians 5:18, 19.  Only Jesus, the Sinless One, could pay our sin-debt.  “21 For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps: 22 Who committed no sin, nor was guile found in His mouth; 23 who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; 24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness – by whose stripes you were healed.”  1 Peter 2:21-24. “The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”  Romans 6:23.  By believing on Him and accepting the grace of His shed blood we receive the gift of eternal life.  “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”  Ephesians 2:8, 9.

COMMANDMENTS – Because we love Jesus for His sacrificial death, we want to obey Him.  “If you love Me, keep My commandments” (John 14:15).  We are not saved by our works.  But, because we are saved, we choose to keep His commandments as the guide for successful living.  “37 Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.  38 This is the first and great commandment.  39 And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.  40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.’”  Matthew 22:37-40.  “3 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.  4 He who says, ‘I know Him,’ and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.”  1 John 2:3, 4

COMING AGAIN – We believe that Jesus is coming again.  “1 Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.  2 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you.  3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.  4 And where I go you know, and the way you know.”  John 14:1-4.  “12 And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with me to give to every one according to his work.”  Revelation 22:12
